Have you ever walked in the woods and seen another person walking on your same path? You don't know them, but you know they feel the trees and the rocks the same way as you do. Maybe they are rushing to a date, picking up flowers to press or composing a poem while sitting on an ancient rock . These are my "kindred Spirits'; other women alone in the wood . Long ago another artist, Asher Durand, painted a picture of a poet and a painter meeting in the woods and entitled it "Kindred Spirits" . I find these other women all over the world ;in France, Brazil and lately Mexico City, and like to imagine their lives and that of the plants around me. The plants are Different in every country, and I'm taking my sketchbook to draw them.
